Final Story Line

The Adventures of mighty Josh

Once upon a time there was a pencil named Josh. Josh was a very kind and shy pencil. Now you see josh lived on Tijuana Island with his grandmother. Josh lived on 3655 E Turtle Rd. This was on the east side of the Island. One day while Josh was away at school, he was playing basketball during recess. Now you see there are 3 students at Josh’s school that are just downright dirty. Mouse, Big lap, and CD. They call themselves the Mac Squad. They tend to mess with Josh everyday on the court. They were the biggest bullies in the school. That day when Josh got home he saw a note on the dinner table. It said, “If you want to see your grandmother again come to Liger ridge. Liger ridge was on the west side of the island. Josh’s grandmother never let him go to that part of the island but under the circumstances he was willing to do anything to save his grandmother. The next morning Josh went and left a note for Mrs. Chalk letting her know what was going on. Josh then headed out to Never Coming Back way and headed towards the west side of the island. As soon as he passed Never Coming Back way and You’re Doomed avenue, he knew this was it or never. He continued on knowing that this was the only way to save his grandmother. On his way, he was thinking on who might have taken his grandmother. He put his money on the Mac Squad and right before he knew it, right in front of his eyes was Mouse. He said, “You’re not going to pass here”. This assured him that his school bullies were behind this. Can you please leave me alone I just want to save my grandma and go home so she can make me dinner and cookies in the shape of a heart. Just go home kid theirs no home plus all you can do is mark and erase things. You don’t have the download app ability to save her from the vires we have placed on her. As Josh approached mouse, mouse whipped at him with his tail. This type of abuse should not be tolerated. Bullying should not be aloud. All of a sudden, a ruler jumped in out of nowhere and started defending Josh. He pushed mouse way and right in front of his eyes he started running away. “Hi. My name is Troy. Who are you?” My name is Josh. Thanks a lot for helping me. What are you doing in these parts anyway? My grandmother was kidnapped and I’m just trying to save her. All right I will help you. As the two were making their way, they noticed a letter on the ground. It said” your grandmother is not at liger ridge.  HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!! How am I supposed to find her now?  Pssssss. I can help you with that. An eraser from a distance whispered. Do you know the feel of your grandmother’s aura? Yes I do. Concentrate on that aura. Deep down you can sense where she is focus. Josh started to feel for his grandmother’s aura and before he knew it, a magical feel surrounded him. In an instant he said, she’s at the school. The eraser was gone before Josh could thank him. Josh and Troy made their way to the school. They saw the Mac squad standing at the top of the playground. Grandma! The whole school came out with Mrs. Chalk. Let Her Go! Stop the Bullying. The whole school cheered on Josh. But before they knew it, the Mac Squad Surrendered and they said, “We will stop our bullying. Were Sorry.” The whole school Cheered on josh and threw him in the air. He was a hero.

Hero’s Journey Stages 9-12

Stage 9 is the reward. The reward is the character overcoming the ordeal and surviving it becoming or achieving what they wanted to do. the first mode is celebration. The character survives and reaches their goal. Secondly is recap and reflection. The hero and allies summarize what this adventure meant to them. Next is romance. The character finally gets the maiden they have been chasing after. Also new knowledge. The hero might figure out the unknowns like heritage,  culture, and deceiving problems. Lastly is the downfall of the reward. The hero becomes cocky and may create a conflict that may last until the end. Stage 10 is the Road Back. The road back is defined as a harder path. The hero has to make a decision to either go back to the ordinary world. Sometimes he has to because he has a mission to complete. The hero must return back to the ordinary world because he has to fulfill a mission. Hero might have a vengeful reason to go back. Maybe the thing he obtains he has to return it to the ordinary world. Stage 11 is the resurrection. The hero experiences a resurrection or rebirth when they trancsend who they were before and notice that they are a new person then who they were before they entered the new world. The character is often considered the plot of the story because if you have not notice anything that happens in the story or the movie revolves around the hero. He came back with courage and the will to fight for his kingdom. Another movie is Wall-E. When Wall-E leaves and goes up into space, he comes back and finds the earth is all trashed and torn up. Hero’s Journey Stages 5-8

Stage 5 is the threshold guardian. This stage is someone that is guarding the other world and not letting the character pass. One example would be the movie Narnia because lucy finally decides to go to Narnia and the thing that pushes her siblings to cross the threshold is to find her. Stage 6 is test, allies and enemies. The ultimate purpose for the hero to go through trail and tribulation is to show the character more of this different world and acts as many more guardians. The sidekick is supposed to be like a foil for the main character in which the main character finds relief and comfort and in a way a mentor if the original mentor is gone. Usually this other domain is controlled by the enemy. The rival is usually the enemy and the hero wants to defeat him but in some cases the rival can be an ally. This ally pushes the protagonist to be better. This threshold is different because this is his time to plan what he is going to do to enter the inmost cave. Sometimes the hero has some romance in his life at this time. The inmost cave is called that because this is where the true feelings inside the character are brought about to find a way to complete the core of his adventure. An example of this is the movie is Sleeping Beauty. When the prince comes and gives her a kiss to wake her up from her sleep is and example of the inmost cave. Another example of this is Pinnochio. The inmost cave for him was his dream to become a real boy. This is an example of Stage 7. Stage 8 is the ordeal. The ordeal changes the hero because it is sort of a life and death experience. After the ordeal the hero is a new person reborn. They feel a lot more empowered. The ordeal is not considered the climax because it is the midpoint. It ties all of the elements together in this one stage.

Heros’ Journey Stages 1-4

A sample that is a perfect example of the ordinary world or stage 1 is Tron legacy. Stage 1 is about the ordinary world. Stage 2 is the call to adventure. This stage is about what calls the character to his adventure. Maybe a damsel in stress or something. An example is when sam flynn goes to the grid because he thinks his dad is still alive. Stage 3 is refusal of the call. This is when the character doesnt want to accept the call to the adventure. One example is Shrek the Third where they go and find prince Arthur to be the new king and he refuses to go with them because he is afraid that he is not ready for the job. Lastly stage 4  is when the character is lost and doesn’t know what to do and that is when he meets his mentor. This stage is supposed to get the character back on track and continue on to his adventure.

Texting and Driving

If you were a congress man or women, compose a law that would be reasonable concerning texting and driving.

Contrast and compare drinking and driving with texting and driving.

Design a plan that would reduce the use of texting while driving.

If I was a congress man, i would probably pass a law stating the same rules as the seatbelt. Instead of it being called click it or ticket the campaign for the law would be put it away, to see another day. If a cop happens to see that you are inattentive on the road, he may stop your car, ask for your phone, and go through your message history and call history. If he happens to find the time of your messages or calls recent, he can have the ability to write you a ticket right there on the spot.

Drinking and driving and texting and driving will eventually lead to the same outcome. Death. People might think that texting and driving isn’t as bad as being intoxicated but it really is. When drinking and driving you are incapable of driving a vehicle safely. You are distracted and your mind processes everything slowly. Whats the difference when you are capable of driving, but your not paying attention to the road and are being distracted by your phone?

A plan that i believe can reduce texting and driving is having certain perks for insurance and other stuff like that yearly. If the law i stated above was to work, the least tickets you have can benefit you at the end of the year with your insurance. The safer the driver you are the less money you have to pay for insurance. This is what i believe to be the best plan of action for texting and driving for the state of Colorado.
